Tony Cox
Head of Sequencing Informatics
Tony originally trained in molecular biology, but gradually became more interested in the analysis of DNA sequence data produced than in the lab-based work. Tony now heads Sequencing Informatics at the Sanger Institute, managing information and ensuring that the data produced is delivered to researchers within and beyond the Sanger Institute. Previously Tony was part of the Ensembl (genome browser) / web team working for the mouse genome sequencing project.
