Lymph gland

Also known as a lymph node, a lymph gland is an oval-shaped organ that forms part of the lymphatic system. Lymph glands are located around the body, such as the armpit and stomach. They contain immune cells and are important for the proper functioning of the immune system, filtering out foreign particles and unwanted cells.
