Genomics Lite: Exploring genome function

Our guest speaker for this session was Gareth Girling, a technical specialist at the Wellcome Sanger Institute, exploring what we know so far about the human genome.

In this genomics lite session Gareth talks about his experience working in the Parts Lab, understanding how human DNA functions in different contexts and how they go about achieving this. Gareth talks about how he uses CRISPR as well as other technologies to understand the human genome and some of the exciting findings that have been made so far!
